MNUMS has 3 dormitories for 1,584 students.

Moving in
- Apply for a room in the student system (student.mnums.edu.mn).
- Within 24 hours of the room allocation, pay the full accommodation fee.
- Print the health-check results and, from the student web, the dormitory contract and dormitory card; move in once the documents are complete.
Health check
- Under 18: have the early-detection screening at your district or soum hospital and bring the results.
- 18 or over and screened within the last year: no repeat test is needed.
- Never screened: have it done at the MNUMS Central Hospital and print the results.
Loans and scholarships
Student development loan, state grants, the rector's and other scholarships
Student development loan
A loan to widen access to study and raise the quality of higher education. Applications are taken every semester and the loan is set by the credits of that semester; about 250 MNUMS students receive it each semester.
Interest-free, without collateral or holding the diploma; repaid in monthly instalments over 1–6 years after graduation.
Students of the priority and in-demand programmes set by Government resolution 115 of 2023 — ten MNUMS programmes; ask the Student Registration and Records Office whether yours is one of them.
Requirements
- New students: average entrance exam score of 600 or more
- Full-time bachelor's students: GPA of 2.8 or more
- Registered in the higher education information system
- At least 15 credits in the semester
- Not for a second degree or for those funded by the Education Loan Fund to study abroad

- An essay on your goals and expected contribution
Government resolution 346 of 2022 on state financial support and grants
State grants by programme
Under annex 3 of Government resolution 346 of 2022 on state financial support for students:
- NursingPrevious-semester GPA 2.8–2.99: 70% of tuition (21 credits); 3.0 or more: 100% (30 credits).
- PhysiotherapyPrevious-semester GPA above 2.0: 100% (30 credits).
- Occupational therapyPrevious-semester GPA above 2.0: 100% (30 credits).
- First-year students need an entrance exam score above 501; not for a second bachelor's degree.
- Documents: an application to the Student Registration and Records Office; from E-Mongolia, ID and birth records, the exam certificate and the secondary-school certificate.
- Tuition already paid can be carried over or refunded through the tuition accountant (room 227). Check your support at grant.elf.gov.mn.
President's tuition scholarship
Paid as tuition to talented, high-achieving students and to students below the subsistence level; not combined with other scholarships and used only for tuition. Students with disabilities are selected on special terms.

- A diploma or bachelor's student in good academic standing

- Mitsubishi Corporation scholarshipFor bachelor's students past their second semester with GPA 3.0+ who need financial support; in 2023, MNT 2.2 million each for 4 students.
- Na Chang-hyun scholarshipNamed after Prof. Na Chang-hyun, director of Seoul Hajon Vascular Surgery Hospital (Korea); since 2022 awarded each year to one first-year medical student for all six years of study.
- Scholarships of organisations and individualsIncluding inter-university agreements and exchange programmes; nominations and selection are run by the Student Registration and Records Office.

Sport and arts
Sports halls, training rooms, university teams and the arts
The university opens its sports halls and training rooms to all students and staff to support health, exercise and student sport. Physical education classes, team training, events and competitions run all year, and staff have weekly exercise slots.
Open throughout the academic year; closed only on New Year's Day and the three days of Tsagaan Sar.

The university has 9 representative teams; each of the 8 schools and 3 branch schools also has its own sports clubs and teams.
Achievements
- Among the top five in the Student League and national competitions.
- In 2023 the women's volleyball, basketball and gymnastics teams won bronze at the national student championships.
- Faculty and staff won gold in basketball, volleyball and chess at university and health-sector competitions in the last two years.
Student Culture Centre
The Student Culture Centre runs the university's arts and culture life: assemblies, the small and grand arts and sports festivals with gala concerts, the AST and «Devjee» shows, the oath ceremony and the academic celebration.
History of the physical education department

Үндэсний сурын спортын мастер Балдандорж багшийн дэмжлэгээр хөнгөн атлетикаар спортын мастер Батаа, Эрдэнэ-Очир, Байгальмаа, Энхжаргал тэргүүтэй тамирчид төрөн гарсан. Сагсан бөмбөгийн эрэгтэй, эмэгтэй багууд улс, хот, нэрэмжит тэмцээнүүдээс алт, мөнгө, хүрэл медаль хүртэж, охидын баг нь «анагаахын адуу» хочоороо олонд танигдсан; аэробикийн охидын баг хотын аварга, хөлбөмбөгийн баг оюутны их наадмын аварга болж байв.
